Making sense of Everett's quantum mechanics
Several critics of the many-worlds interpretation have pointed out two particular problems.
I have written an article that mends these two problems arxiv1603.01625. The article shows that all the standard quantum postulates are derived from the two new postulates formulated in the article. Hence, the measurement process is completely described by the unitary quantum evolution, whithout exception.
The poster I made for the APS March meeting 2017 is a shorter version. It also addresses a third point of criticism.
- Firstly, the theory is empty. No one has previously defined what the state vector represents.
- Secondly, the attempts to derive the Born rule has failed.
